The lack of an attentive presence is the root of the confusion within our own mind: this lack of attentiveness, or lack of mindfulness, is what creates misguided or erroneous habitual patterns, that in turn, lead to unhappiness and suffering. In the long term, this creates a global lack of balance, that in the ultimate sense, leads towards illness and the deterioration of one’s physical and mental well-being.
Tibetan Buddhism offers numerous meditative techniques that help to harmonize body and mind, that contribute to bringing mental clarity, and a more complete awareness, and that therefore also open the path to decisions that are imbued with more compassion. Thus, returning to this state of balance favors health and well being.
