With Lama Tenzin Phuntsok

Gesar Norbu Dra’dül is the combined embodiment of the knowledge, love and power of the protector lords of the three families and the enlightened activity of Master Padmasambhava. He took birth in T’ongwa Künmön  as a counteragent to tame negative forces and spirits. From his earliest youth he naturally showed invincible magical powers, annihilating thieves, robbers and cheats and binding many deities and spirits –such as te’urang and rakshasis– under oath.

Later on, he became king of the six districts of Ling, and with the help of magical emanations of the eighty Indian Mahasiddhas, he annihilated all demonic forces, thus bringing happiness to the Tibetan people and spreading and fostering the teachings of the Buddhas in all directions. In the latter part of his life, through the path of Dzogpa Chenpo, he manifested the rainbow body of great transference.

During this weekend of online teachings, Lama Tenzin Phuntsok will give ample explanations on the life of Gesar, thus bringing to life profound aspects of his biography and how they can be beneficial in today’s world. Lama Tenzin will also explain the practice of Gesar Lhasang, or Smoke Offering, a practice that is said to help increase the Lungta of a place or a person and helps to invoke the Dralhas, the energies of power, dignity and prosperity.

Lama Tenzin Phuntsok is the resident lama of the Ripa lineage in Europe.  He is an accomplished master of initiation rituals of Vajrayana Buddhism, and head of the RIPA translation committee, responsible for translating the Tibetan texts of the Ripa lineage.

This event is online, however, for those close to the RIC, it is possible to participate from onsite, via Zoom.
