“Learning to live well with others involves living well with all aspects of our spirit.”
Gyétrul Jigmé Rinpoché
Ripa Awareness Meditation is a simple yet effective approach to exploring different facets of how the mind works, based on the 2 practices that go into establishing Mindfulness/Mindfuness :
. Shamata, or mental pacification, establishes calm and stability in the mind, enabling us to detect movements without getting caught up in them. The principle is to gather attention by focusing it on a support, or without a support. In this context, the preferred support is breathing, the importance of which we’ll remind you.
. Vipassana, or deep seeing, the act of seeing things clearly as they are, beyond our mental projections, is manifested from the stability acquired with Shamata, and enables us to access, with training, more subtle aspects of the mind, and thus to carry out a true exploration of the nature of phenomena.
This workshop is open to all, and is designed both for newcomers wishing to discover meditation, and for those who have already taken part in meditation workshops and wish to deepen their knowledge. It is a progressive meditation training program conceived and developed by Gyétrul Jigmé Rinpoché, authentic Tibetan Buddhist master of the Ripa lineage, and structured in the RAM (Ripa Awareness Meditation) program with the assistance of Geneviève Hamelet.
