6 – 9 August: teachings in the afternoon
After having spent 55 years in Tibet, Guru Padmasambhava decided to leave for Rakshas land in order to protect the beings of the world from the dangerous Rakshas.
The king of Tibet and his ministers, monks, nuns, yogis and other lay people urged Guru Rinpoche to stay longer in Tibet. In return, he gave teachings in general to all his followers and in particular to the king, queen, ministers, monks, nuns, doctors and teachers as his heart advice.
Khenpo Tenzin Wangdue will follow the text called “The Tree of Precious Lotus: The biography of Padmasambhava” revealed by the great Terton Taksham Nuden Dorje (1655-1708) as part of the Yidam Gongdue cycle in 1688.
Guru Rinpoche’s Tsok Bum
| 6 – 9 August |
The Tsok Bum practice is a form of feast offering (tsok) that involves the accumulation of 100,000 offerings. These vast accumulations are believed to generate abundant amounts of merit and spiritual benefits, to purify obstacles and negative karma and to regenerate damaged samayas. It is of special relevance in times of war and conflict and helps reinforce Sangha bonds through the sharing of a common purpose. Further, it helps dispel obstacles to practice and to the propagation of Dharma. In that sense, engaging together as a community in this sacred practice will contribute to dispelling obstacles in the attainment of future projects, such us the building of a Stupa at RIC, one of His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche’s most cherished projects.
This is a heartfelt invitation to join the vibrant RIC community in this shared effort that will bring immense benefits to the world and will help fulfil His Eminence’s most cherished vision!

Dungsey Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurmey Rinpoche
Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurmey Rinpoche was born, in keeping with Guru Rinpoche’s prophecy, in 1976 as the son of His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche and Khandro Chime Drolkar. He was recognized as the reincarnation of Jigme Tempay Gyeltsen, the 3rd Tamdrin Lhunpo Chogtrul. In conjunction with his recognition, he was enthroned at Namdroling monastery in Mysore amidst an ocean of lamas, tulkus, and monks presided over by Kyabje Drupwang Penor Rimpoche, who bestowed upon him the name Gyurme Thegchog Shedrub Tenpay Gyeltsen.
